Reverend Michael Curry thought Royal wedding invite was an April Fools
Reverend Michael Curry told Good Morning Britain he thought his invite to the Royal wedding was a wind-up.
He said: “I thought somebody was doing an April Fools joke on me. I just didn’t in my wildest imagination…”.
Speaking of how he thought his sermon went, which was the most-tweeted about moment of the Royal wedding, he said: “I have to admit I had no idea… I really didn’t. When I sat down from the sermon I remember thinking to myself, I hope that was OK.”
Of the newlywed couple he said: “They’re going to work to make this world better and empowering women is one of the ways we do that.”
