Oscar winner speaks about using sign language for acceptance speech
It was tipped to be one of the big winners at the Oscars awards - and it certainly didn't let itself down. The Silent Child, a film about a girl who is deaf, picked up the award for Best Live Action Short Film.
Whilst in the GMB studio, Rachel shared with us some of her sign language knowledge. Watch and learn!
Rachel Shenton starred in the film. During her role, she used British Sign Language to communicate with the cast and crew. Upon accepting her award at the glitzy ceremony in LA, she gave her acceptance speech using sign language.
The Silent Child is on BBC One at 7:40pm on the 30th of March.
