Nigel Farage may return to politics to guarantee Brexit

Former UKIP leader and staunch leave campaigner Nigel Farage has declared 'he may have no choice but to throw himself back into politics' if Brexit came under threat.

Speaking to Piers and Susanna following the snap election which ended in a hung parliament, Farage vowed to return to frontline politics to ensure that the people's wishes are met and Brexit is carried out.

''We were on course for Brexit and suddenly we might not be,'' he said. ''If we don't get the kind of Brexit that people voted for , I will have no choice but to throw myself back into politics.''

Farage insisted UKIP successor Paul Nuttall should face no blame for the party's colossal defeat, and asked whether he would return to being the leader, Farage said: “Whether I’m the the leader of it [UKIP] is very doubtful but I could play a prominent role.”
