NHS patients are 'dying alone' in hospitals
Patients are “dying alone” in hospital wards because there is too few staff to care for them, according to frontline nurses.
Reports suggest that overworked nurses and bed shortages could force the NHS to breaking point this winter.
A survey of more than 30,000 staff revealed a quarter of nurses care for 14 patients or more at one time, and consequently do not enough time to give effective care.
