New planet scientists call 'mega-Earth' discovered
A planet 17 times the size of Earth has been discovered in a distant star system, scientists say.
Kepler-10c, which is believed to be twice as old as Earth, should have evolved into a gaseous mini-Neptune, according to scientists from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Instead, Kepler-10c has managed to remain solid despite being more than twice as old as the Earth.
