NCA warns of deadly computer virus

The National Crime Agency is warning people they have two weeks to save their computers from a powerful malicious software attack.

The malware called GOZeuS is hiding within attachments in emails and, once downloaded, enables hackers to access computers and scan them for valuable information.

The malicious software is believed to have been written by a Russian hacker, Evgeniy Bogachev, who admitted as much in a web chat with the FBI, the bureau said.

Cyber expert Ernest Hilbert, who spent eight years as a Special Agent with the FBI, tells us how we can protect our computers and mobile phones from attack.
