The essence of his being was for wanting men and women, and humans in general, to be treated equally

Maryam Ali on her father, the late and great Muhammad Ali

Maryam Ali, daughter of Muhammad Ali, has denied that her family have been battling over the late boxing legend's multimillion fortune.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain earlier today, she said: "It's all headlines. There's no family dispute."

She joined us to talk about her experiences filming 60 Days In, a US reality show in which she entered a prison posing as an inmate to experience the reality of jail.

"About 90 percent of the ladies I lived with had addictions of some sort," she told Piers and Susanna. "Jails are getting all the intake of addicts and I think this is a problem everywhere."

Meanwhile, on the subject of her famous father, she told us what she feels his legacy will be and what he taught her growing up.

"My father just had a real strong desire - the essence of his being was for wanting men and women, and humans in general to be treated equally"

"He taught his children never see yourself as a minority"
