Reunited with the man who found her in a phone box as a newborn
It was one of the happiest days of my life and I never stopped looking for her
In April 1994 Joe Campbell discovered a newborn baby in a telephone box in Forest Gate. He thought the baby was an empty chip wrapper but after closer inspection found that it was a tiny Kiran Sheikh, just two hours old with her umbilical chord still attached.
After countless attempts to adopt her Joe was turned away by social services. But last week 22-year-old Kiran put a call out in the press to track down the kind man who rescued her on that April day, and Joe responded.
I forgive her. I hope she doesn't feel bad or anything. I would just love to meet her.
Kiran describes the emotional reunion as "overwhelming" and is affectionately referred to by Joe as his "second daughter".
During the show Kiran made an appeal for her real mother to come forward.
She said: "I'm sure she knows who I am. She does know my name and everything so if she does see this, just get in contact with the show or any way, just get in contact.
I'm not angry. She wrote me a letter saying sorry."
