Is it time to ban hoverboards?
Amazon has advised customers who have bought hoverboards with unsafe plugs to throw them away as a watchdog urged all retailers to remove them from sale.
More than 32,000 of the popular gadgets have now been held at border points after testing found they were unsafe.
The Government has warned consumers to "think twice" about buying the must-have Christmas gift amid fears over imitation devices being sold at discount prices.
In October, officials stressed it was illegal to ride the boards - which can go up to 10mph - on public roads and pavements. This limits them to being used on private property and indoors.
