Green Party co-leader addresses frequent flyer tax
After gaining 194 votes in the recent local elections, the Green Party is hoping to add to its three MEPs in the upcoming EU Parliamentary elections.
With the YouGov poll showing that the Liberal Democrats are picking up support from Labour and Green voters, can the Green Party succeed?
We were joined by Sian Berry, who is the co-leader of the Green Party to discuss some of their policies on remaining in the EU and climate plans.
When addressing the Green Party's proposal of a frequent flyer tax, she said: “In terms of flying we are not messing around, we are saying the amount of flying overall needs to come down. It’s very important to know that 70 percent of flights are taking by 15 percent of people who fly an awful lot.”
