Is your home at risk of fire because of faulty appliances?

An independent review of unsafe products is demanding that the government takes urgent action to ensure consumers know enough about the risks.

So far 3.6 million people have been contacted because of a design flaw in Hotpoint, Creda and Indesit tumble dryers.

Pressure to overhaul the recall system comes a week after a faulty Indesit tumble dryer was to blame for a fire at a block of flats in Shephards Bush in London.

Lynn Faulds Wood, who chaired a Government commissioned Independent Review of the recall system, joined us on the show this morning.
