Fraudsters stole £2.2 million from holidaymakers last year, making holiday accommodation the number one area of scamming.
GMB's own Sean Fletcher and his friends lost 4750 Euros (around £3420) by paying for a villa found on Trip Advisor and its subsidiary website Flipkey.
