Myles Litchmore-Dunbar acquitted of Crete murder
Myles Litchmore-Dunbar, the 20-year-old model accused of murdering Tyrell Matthews-Burton, is expected to travel home from Crete in the next few days after he was found not guilty of all charges.
Tyrell Matthews-Burton was murdered on his 19th birthday in Malia during a bar brawl of 30 people. The teenager from east London was pinned down and viciously stabbed in the street before dying on the way to hospital.
Litchmore-Dunbar spent a year in a Greek jail and maintained his innocence throughout. After his acquittal he told waiting reporters:
I am happy that after some 16 months I have finally received justice, but I am reminded that justice still needs to be served for the family of Tyrell. The past 16 months have been a horrific experience for me which will live with me for the rest of my life. Today there have been no winners, only confirmation that I was not involved in the death of Tyrell, neither did I buy or possess a knife.
