FBI were warned about the Florida gunman
Teenager Nikolas Cruz, aged 19, has been charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder following the horrendous Valentine’s Day mass shooting at the Florida secondary school.
At least 17 people were killed and 15 others injured when the teen opened fire at the school in South Florida.
It has now emerged that the shooter may have been known to the FBI months before the attack took place, according to a video blogger.
Youtube account holder Ben Bennight received a comment under one of his videos by a user called Nikolas Cruz, which said: “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”
Ben flagged the comment to Youtube and contacted the FBI.
When speaking on the alleged Youtube comment made by the shooter, FBI special agent Robert Lasky said: “No other information was included with that comment which would indicate a time, location or the true identity of the person who made the comment.”
Mr Lasky went on to say: “The FBI conducted database reviews, checks but was unable to further identify the person who actually made the comment."
