Ricky Wilson: Tom Jones told me to 'get over it'
If they came knocking I would do it again. Of course I would!
After selling eight million records, the Kaiser Chiefs are back with a new album - and frontman Ricky Wilson joined us today to talk about the highs and lows of having a music career and the advice Tom Jones gave him when they were on The Voice together!
"I'm very proud of what I've achieved," he told us, explaining he doesn't mind being recognised in public. "If someone shouts 'Ruby!' at me... great!"
On getting advice from Welsh music legend Tom Jones he said: "Tom's had a long career and he said 'Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Get over it. Just keep going'."
And although he jokes he'd only take part in The Voice again for the right money, it seems he's very keen on the idea. "If they came knocking I would do it again. Of course I would!"
