About Katy Rickitt
Katy Rickitt is a news correspondent for Good Morning Britain and has worked for ITV since 2008.
Throughout her career Katy has strived to humanise the headlines, with an insight into the real people and stories behind them. From the sense of betrayal that plagued the community of Dewsbury even after Karen Matthews was released from prison, to the hope that turned to anguish during the hunt for April Jones. Katy also spent much of the last two years covering the unprecedented floods which spread across the country.
Katy's investigations have also taken her abroad: to Romania where she delved into the real lives of the romany community; to Malia where she investigated the safety of British teenagers abroad; and to Cyprus, where she experienced first hand the collapse of the banking system.
