Why we forgive speeding driver who killed our Brian
We didn't think what we did was extraordinary
In an amazing act of forgiveness, the family of a father who died after he was hit by a speeding truck hugged the man who killed him as he walked free from court.
Brian Herrick, 69, was killed when his car was hit by a lorry driven by Luke Bates, 32, on the A453 in Nottinghamshire in October 2014.
He had just dropped off his partner Ada Cook and three sisters Kathleen, Pauline and Margaret at East Midlands Airport for an early morning flight to Malaga. Moments after waving them off the collision happened - but the family only heard about it when they turned on their mobile phones after landing in Spain.
Joining us today is Brian's son Richard and his sister Kathleen Owen, who explain why they wanted the man responsible for Brian's death to walk free.
