National Living Wage comes into force
Up to 4.5 million people across the country will have a pay increase from today as the new mandatory National Living Wage comes into effect, but the rise could come at a cost ...
The new National Living Wage will rise from £6.70 to £7.20 an hour for those aged over 25.
The policy was announced in last summer's Budget by Chancellor George Osborne in an effort to create a higher wage, lower welfare economy, but there are fears of job losses and cuts to staff benefits as companies struggle to pay for it.
We're joined by Siobhain McDonagh MP who says the hike could see many workers lose out!
