Homeless charities are warning that the Siberian weather, dubbed 'The Beast from the East', could cost the lives of Britain's homeless.
The bitter conditions are particularly dangerous for rough sleepers spending the night on the streets. As the chill continues and temperatures plunge well below -0c, homeless charities have been out in force helping some of the most vulnerable in society.
What to do if you spot a rough sleeper
If you spot a rough sleeper in England or Wales, let Streetlink know they are there. The organisation puts people spending the night on the streets in touch with people who can help them.
It has an app and website where people who spot rough sleepers can let people know they're sleeping outside.
The organisation says it has had more than 4,000 referrals over the past few days as cold weather bites and shivers the UK.
