The Shadow Home Secretary on the refugee crisis
I think the government is moving too slowly
Shadow Home Secretary, Diane Abbott, joined Piers and Susanna to discuss the first set of refugees arriving from the Calais Jungle camp to settle in the UK this week.
And she stressed that "the French can and should do more" to help the refugees in Calais.
While talking about Britain's obligation to the 174 children that have proven links with the UK, she said: "We have a legal responsibility as well as a moral responsibility."
The refugees living in Calais are incredibly vulnerable and the state of the Jungle Camp is "horrible and the people there are prayed on by people traffickers" added Abbott.
