Met Commissioner 'would love to have more resources'
In the wake of the recent terror attacks, is it time to increase the number of police forces across the country?
The Government has come under criticism for cutting 20,000 police officers and 1,000 armed police.
To help shed some light on the issue we were joined by the Metropolitan Commissioner, Cressida Dick. The Commissioner admitted that she "would love to have more [police] resources" and intends to work with the Mayor and the elected Government to increase the numbers.
Speaking on working with the Muslim community, the Commissioner said that "we need to get communities to stand up and fight terrorism”.
She added: “It will be communities that defeat terrorism”.
