Slime: the craze taking over the UK
It's the craze that is taking over the UK - a sticky mixture of glue and kitchen cupboard essentials creates slime. Teenagers across Britain are obsessed with the concoction - but how is it made?
How to make slime at home
We asked Mark Thompson, a science broadcaster and author to show us how to make slime.
What you'll need
125ml of PVA glue
Half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
Food colouring
3/4 tablespoon contact lens solution
How to make it
Take your PVA glue and place it in a large bowl.
Combine the PVA glue with the bicarbonate of soda.
Add a splash of food colouring.
Continue to mix the mixture with the contact lens solution.
When the mixture starts to come together and doesn't stick to the side of the bowl you're done.
Enjoy!
