Shocking figures reveal extent of public female harassment

Almost a half of women in a new study have said they have suffered verbal or physical harassment from a stranger in public, with 40 percent saying they even feared violence as a result.
The findings, from ITV's Tonight programme, paint a worrying picture, with over one in five women saying they have suffered actual violence as a result of sexual harassment in a public place.
Blogger Naomi Hefter went out accompanied by hidden cameras and some of the harassment she received was caught on film. One man shouted at her from across the street and another stranger was even caught sneakily taking pictures of her.
