Royal Wedding 2018: Everything you need to know
The final preparations are being made for the event of 2018. Eyes from around the world will be on Windsor for the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The ceremony, which will be held in the Berkshire town of Windsor, will involve a carriage procession, two receptions and no doubt hundreds of thousands of spectators are expected to descend on the town from across the globe.
When is the Royal Wedding taking place?The wedding will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 19th May 2018 at Windsor Castle, Berkshire. Guests are expected to start arriving at the event through the morning, with the first thought to be arriving around 9am. It's thought that guests will be driven to the event on coaches departing from a farm shop set up by the Duke of Edinburgh in 2001.
Where is the Royal Wedding taking place?The Royal Wedding will take place in Windsor at the town's famous castle. The area is steeped in Royal history dating back to 11th century. It was where parts of the crown jewels were hidden in a biscuit tin within the castle's walls during World War Two.
The castle has been home to 39 monarchs. It's also where Her Majesty The Queen spends most of her weekends when she is not on official engagements.
The ceremony itself will take place in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle at midday. The chapel seats approximately 800 people.
What route will the wedding procession take? The wedding procession will wind around the centre of Windsor, taking in many of the familiar tourist sights in the town. It'll make its way out of the town centre before doing a loop through nearby residential areas, ending on the infamous Long Walk that approaches Windsor Castle. Tourists and locals alike are expected to flock to see the newly wed couple as they make their first post-wedding journey.
Who is going to be there?Key members of the Royal Family will be at the ceremony, including The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William who will be Harry's best man at the ceremony. The couple have also invited hundred people from around the United Kingdom.
It's thought that there will be 'around 600' guests at the event, according to Kensington Palace. Although a large crowd, that's a significantly smaller crowd that at the wedding of the Queen and Prince Phillip in 1947 in front of almost 2,000 guests.

Will everyone get a day off?Sadly not! Downing Street has not announced any plans for a bank holiday to celebrate the marriage. It's in contrast to the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton where the country took a day off for the nuptials.
But it's not all bad news - pubs will be allowed to open until 1am on Friday the 18th of May 2018 in celebration of the wedding.
How much is it going to cost?Exact figures for the cost of the wedding aren't known, but it has been reported that Meghan's dresses are costing in excess of £40,000. Some have estimated that the wedding will cost more than £32,000,000 in total - although it's thought that the Royal Family will pay a large chunk of this from their own finances.
