Richard Arnold's Armchair Guide - May 8

From a throwback to the hazy sporting days of the 90s to something to keep those summer holiday blues at bay, Richard Arnold is back with his guide to this week's TV to keep you entertained during lockdown.

Lockdown might also be the perfect time for some escapism and where better than the exotic cities of India?

Euro 96 Relived on ITV HUB and ITV4 With Euro 2020 postponed for twelve months, the ITV Hub has raided its archives to provide football fans with a slice of sports nostalgia as the platform unearths every match from 1996's tournament, hosted in England, for Euro 96 Relived.

Airing from 11 May, ITV HUB takes a trip down sporting memory lane and will transmit all 31 games from one of the most closely contested tournaments in recent history. In addition, ITV4 will also play out the five games that featured the England football team in some of their most memorable head to heads, as well as the final between Germany and the Czech Republic.

At Euro 96, Bob Wilson introduces the action in ITV's specially-designed studio alongside a stellar panel of pundits including [yet to be Sir] Alex Ferguson, John Barnes, Jack Charlton and Glenn Hoddle, with Brian Moore in the commentary box, Gary Newbon and Gabriel Clarke on reporting duties.

Absolutely India: Mancs in Mumbai The Thomas Brothers have been entertaining viewers for 20 years on some of the UK’s most popular TV shows. This new six-part series sees the celebrity siblings like we’ve never seen them before, as they embark on a trip of a lifetime to explore their Indian heritage.

Leaving life in Manchester behind, the boys experience all that India has to offer, from the iconic sights of Mumbai to the glorious beaches of Goa. As the lads immerse themselves in the culture of a country that plays a huge part in their family history, viewers also get an insight into the boy’s undeniable bond as brothers.

You can catch up on episodes one and two on the ITV Hub before episode three airs on ITV on Wednesday at 8pm.

Gemma Collins is a Diva on Lockdown Viewers will see how the icon of Essex has adapted to the UK being in lockdown. As working from home becomes the norm and with schools, restaurants and shops closed across the country, the GC says farewell to her film crew and instead, fixed-rig cameras will capture the nation’s favourite diva at home.

Before the lockdown, successful business woman Gemma Collins was searching for her new dream home and not only rubbing shoulders with famous faces, she was also mixing in Royal circles.

With Gemma closing the doors to her Brentwood shop, will the lockdown put her dream home and future in jeopardy? Diva on Lockdown is available to watch on the ITV Hub right now.
