Quick, simple breakfasts for one
Sometimes life is just too busy to spend lots of time cooking in the morning, so here's some quick and simple breakfasts for one, that you can whip up in a jiffy.
Quick brekkies
Two boiled or poached eggs with a slice of wholemeal or rye bread - Tonia likes to eat hers with a couple of fresh tomatoes or some sliced cucumber
1 egg anyway, I slice of un-smoked bacon grilled, 1 or 2 grilled tomatoes, 1 slice of wholemeal or rye bread
Omelette of 1 whole egg and 1 egg white with 1 or 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 teaspoon of chopped herbs like dill or oregano or thyme OR 1 teaspoon of turmeric with 28g (1oz) of chopped smoked salmon. Serve with 1 slice of wholemeal or rye bread.
On rye or wholemeal piece of bread mash ½ an avocado, 2 chopped tomatoes , and sprinkle 28g (1oz) of feta cheese
Two shredded wheat served with a chopped banana, semi skimmed milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
