Should the Duke and Duchess of Sussex be stripped of their titles?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly agreed to star in a "fly on the wall" Netflix series.
It’s claimed that they want to give people a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work that they do.
According to senior royal aides, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's US election video 'violated' the terms of the 'Megxit' deal the couple have with the Queen.
So, have they gone too far? Should Harry and Meghan be stripped of their royal titles?
Believing that Harry and Meghan should make a "clean break", Piers Morgan said: "I want them to make a completely clean break. Go and get the freedom you say you want. That means you don’t keep all the titles which give you all the value. You have to live off being Harry and Meghan. It is damaging to the integrity and neutrality of the monarchy and I value the royal family and Her Majesty the Queen a lot higher than Meghan Markle in her Santa Barbara mansion."
Former MP and author of What The Royal Family Don't Want You To Know Norman Baker, who believes the couple should be stripped of their titles, said: "HRH means he’s representing Britain abroad. He’s not representing Britain abroad. He’s clearly divorced himself from the royal family in practical terms."
"Let’s be frank about this, Netflix wouldn’t be offering him a huge deal to Harry because of his interesting views, they’re offering him a deal because of his connections with the royal family," he added.
However, royal biographer, author and editor of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward that stripping Harry and Meghan of their titles wouldn't accomplish anything.
She told Piers and Susanna: "The title was a gift of the Queen on their wedding day to one of her favourite grandchildren and to his future wife to be and it would be churlish I feel for her to say they can’t have this title anymore. Everyone knows them as Harry and Meghan.
Harry is a Prince of the blood and you can’t take that away from him," she added.
Pointing out that no decisions will be made until the review next year, Ingrid said: "If anything is going to happen about the removal of their titles, it won’t happen until March next year."
