Unlimited pies for £3.50...

Urgent. Last chance to return AI Scheme letter, 35% off eBay listings, Google ads warning, unlimited pie trick, and ‘free’ £11ish Nails Inc polish. These are our Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis’ Deals of the Week.

Remember, deals can change quickly, even while I’m on the programme. So always double-check the terms and conditions before spending. Plus, while I hope these deals will save you cash, don’t spend if you can’t afford it, don’t need it, or won’t use it.

And here’s how they look now:

35% off selling fees plus free eBay listings

Until Monday (14 March), some selected eBay users may be eligible to get 35% off its final value seller fee. That’s the 10% fee it usually takes off the sold price plus postage (so it’ll take 6.5% instead) – though if you take the cash via PayPal you’ll still have to pay its fee. Plus you’ll also be able to list 100 items for free (usually you only get 20 free).

Now, not everyone gets this, so to find out if you’re eligible, log in to your eBay account and the offer will flash up on the screen. Then click ‘accept offer’ and it’ll either say “You’ve accepted the offer” if you’re eligible or “Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only” if you aren’t. eBay hasn’t said how many people it’s offering this deal to, but I got my team to test this and out of 20 people 19 were eligible, so it’s definitely worth having a look.

Martin’s Quickies:

£3.50 for unlimited pies. Go in store to Tesco and some, mainly Tesco Extra or superstores, have special promo packs of Higgidy chicken or steak pies, which have a yellow sticker saying “free pie voucher inside”. Buy the pie for £3.50 and inside there’ll be a coupon to get the next pie free. So go back and get another special pack for free. Inside will be another coupon. You can carry on doing this until stocks run out or until the coupon expires on 30 April – and as I’m saying this I guess they’ll go quick. Not all Tesco stores are stocking these promo pies but it’s worth having a scout round if you’re in a Tesco.

Last chance to return your AI Scheme letter. All reminder letters have now been sent out to the two million people who were flogged worthless card security insurance from Affinion (also known as Sentinel). If you got one and still haven’t returned it, you only have one week left till the deadline, 18 March. If you think you binned the letter then call AI Scheme on 0800 678 1930 and ask to be sent another – though it’s touch and go now, as it’ll take time to get it out to you and for you to send it back. If you don’t send it back in time you could miss out on £100s, as Rodney emailed, “Thanks Martin for pushing me, I got a £388 cheque” – so do it now!

Free £11ish Nails Inc polish in £4ish mag. Buy the April edition of Marie Claire magazine (£3.99, with Amy Adams on the front) before Wednesday 30 March and you’ll get a free full-size 10ml Nails Inc nail polish in one of four colours – moon dance (red), dark side of the moon (burgundy), moonlight shadow (khaki) and moon river (pink). The polishes usually cost around £11 each. But these ones are exclusive to Marie Claire and you can't get them anywhere else. Plus turn to page 264 and you'll also find a code for 25% off online at Nails Inc until Thursday 31 March.
