Helen Worth shares Anne Kirkbride memories
Annie had no idea of how much she was loved, and I think if she had, it would have helped her.
Helen Worth, who plays Gail in Coronation Street, shares her memories of co-star Anne Kirkbride.
Speaking to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard live from the Cobbles, Helen said; “She was brilliant at both comedy and drama.”
She added: “The professionalism of her - I don't think she ever dried, she certainly never dried when I was on set with her. She came in, she did the job, she was Dierdre, she knew what she was doing, from a child, from a young girl she came in and… forty odd years, she was extraordinary, every day more and more and I will remember the hugs personally, good times and bad times she used to hug everybody and I will miss those very much indeed.”
