Greek yogurt with... everything!
Greek yogurt is such an amazing wonder-food and it really sets you up for the day - below are some sweet and savoury ideas but feel free to improvise with what you have in your store cupboards.
Savoury idea for 1
100ml Greek yogurt1 small cucumber chopped2 kalamata olives de-pitted and quartered2 tomatoes finely chopped1 tbsp of chopped fresh mint. Pinch of sea salt & pinch of black pepper½ -1 clove of crushed garlic (optional - but good for if you're feeling run down)
To serve, simply place the yogurt in a bowl, layer on your vegetables, season and enjoy.
Sweet ideas for 1
100ml Greek yogurtSeasonal mix of three fruits
For example:
1 banana, chopped1 apple, cored and sliced3 strawberries
Or
1 pear, cored and sliced4 blackberries1 orange, cut into segments
Then to your fruit add:
50g of chopped almonds½ tsp ground cinnamon
To serve simply place the yogurt in a bowl, layer with fruit, sprinkle with the nuts and cinnamon and enjoy.
