Only a few weeks now until Christmas Day and while that gives you plenty of time to sort out the turkey, trimmings and tinsel there's one job that needs attention today - the Christmas Stocking!
This morning we're launching Good Morning Britain's Christmas Stocking competition and searching for Britain's craftiest kid who can draw the most seasonal festive stocking.
The winning design will be made into a craft kit and then sold in Hobbycraft stores nationwide with a donation (50p) from each kit bought going to ITV's Text Santa Appeal. The craft kits will go on sale throughout the country (and online!) on Monday 1st December!

Application terms and conditions
1. APPLICATION PROCESS
Competitionopens at 6.00 a.m. on Monday 20 October 2014. Competition closes for entry at 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday 29 October 2014. Entries received after 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday 29 October 2014 will not be counted.
2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the eligibility criteria in the General Competition, Vote and PollTerms and Conditions, entrants must be aged between four and 11 years old and must be enrolled at a primary school until the closing date of the competition, Wednesday 29 October 2014. Entries must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian (aged 18 years or over) of the child, on behalf of the child. The adult and child must be UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man residents. Proof ofage and eligibility will be required.
3. METHOD OF ENTRY
Eligible entrants (and/or the parent or legal guardian of the eligible entrant) should go to the website at www.itv.com/goodmorningbritain and download a competition entry form and a Christmas stocking template as instructed. The entry form must be completed by the parent/guardian of eligibleentrants and must accompany the completed design. The entry form and completed design should then be returned by post to GMB Christmas Stocking Competition, The London Television Centre, Upper Ground, London, SE1 9LT. Please be aware that we will be unable to return anyentries submitted.
The following entry requirements apply:
Entries must be submitted using the Christmas stocking template and entry form available at www.itv.com/goodmorningbritain; entries must have a Christmas theme; entries must be a design capable of being recreated as a stocking by Hobbycraft; entries must be designs for the front of the stocking only; entries must be drawn by hand; all entries submitted must have been created by the eligible entrant; and eligible entrants must draw their design by hand but should bear in mind that their image will need to be recreated by Hobbycraft using a variety of craft materials, including buttons, ribbons, stickers, flowers, bows, pom poms and glitter but not excluding other materials. The eligible entrant may suggest some of the materials they would like to see used on the final design.Entrieswill be judged on creativity, festive flair, age of the eligible entrant andsuitability of being turned into a craft kit.
The winning entry will be the Christmas stocking that fulfils all of the above criteria and most captures the spirit and magic of Christmas. Hobbycraft will endeavour to reproduce as accurately as possible the winning design wherever possible but substitutions and alterations may be required to produce the kit. The winning entry will be on sale at Hobbycraft (all stores across the United Kingdom excluding Northern Ireland and online across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland) as a kit from Monday 1 December 2014.
There is no other method of entry other than that specified in these terms and conditions.
There is no charge for entry except that entries must be submitted with the correct postage paid. There is no charge for downloading the entry form or the Christmas stocking template but internet service providers’ fees may apply when accessing the internet.
Entries created by groups of individuals, including without limitation school groups or other organisations, will be invalid and will not be entered into the competition. Only one (1) entry per person is permitted. In the event that any eligible entrant submits more than one (1) entry, only the first entry will be considered.
The Promoter and producers bear no responsibility for any entry that isincorrectly submitted, lost or received after the closing date, or damaged inanyway.
4. SHORTLIST
All submissions will be assessed by the Good Morning Britain production staff (the “shortlist panel”). The shortlist panel will decide on a shortlist of up to ten (10) candidates (the “shortlisted candidates”) during the week commencing Monday 3 November 2014.
5. WINNER SELECTION
The shortlisted candidates will then be judged by a panel of judges different to the shortlist panel, consisting of one (1) Good Morning Britain staff member, one (1) Hobbycraft staff member and one (1) independent judge (the “panel”). The panel will select a winner during the week commencing Monday 3 November2014 (the “winner”) and the winner will be contacted shortly after that date. The parent or guardian of the winner should be available for contact between 5 November 2014 and 10 November 2014. With the agreement of the parent or guardian of the winner and the school at which the winner is enrolled, the winner will be surprised on Monday 10 November 2014.
Inthe event that the panel ties in its decision, the independent judge will havethe final decision.
6. PRIZE
The prize will be for the winner to have their Christmas stocking design made into a kit to be sold at Hobbycraft. Fifty (50) pence from the sale of each kit will go to Text Santa. In addition, the prize will include:
an arts and crafts hamper from Hobbycraft to the winner; and a Hobbycraft goody bag and vouchers in the sum of £1000 (one thousand pounds) for the winner’s school to be spent in Hobbycraft on art materials for the school (four (4) gift cards in the sum of £250 (two hundred and fifty pounds) each). The vouchers will be valid from the date of issue for a period of two (2) years and can be spent in any Hobbycraft store or online at www.hobbycraft.co.uk. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter reservesthe right to publish any entrant’s entry, in any media in whole or in part. The entrant and their school must agree to take place in promotional activity surrounding the competition.
By making an entry you grant the Promoter permissionto use the entry in any way it wants. This means that the Promoter can use,edit, reproduce, record, modify, translate, distribute, play, perform, broadcast, make available and display your entry (or part thereof) and/or prepare derivative works of the entry by any medium or method whether now known or later developed, including without limitation on the website or any other website in its sole discretion anywhere in the world. The Promoter may alsopermit third parties to use the entry. You acknowledge that you will not receive any fee or royalty payment from the Promoter, producers or any third party for the consents and grants given by you in relation to your entry.
You confirm and agree that you are fullyauthorised and entitled to grant this permission. You agree to give us evidenceof this authority and entitlement if requested by us. You agree to waive anymoral rights that may exist in relation to your entry. This means that you waive the right to complain about the way in which the Promoter and/or producers may edit, alter or use the entry and that the Promoter and/or producers do not have to identify you. The entrant’s parent or legal guardian may be required to provide their signature to confirm the entrant’s agreement to the terms set out in these terms and conditions and to licence any additional rights which may be required by the Promoter and/or the producers.
The Promoter and/or producers do not guarantee,represent, undertake or warrant that they will contact every entrant. Unless otherwise specified, the Promoter is not liable to refund any costs or expenses incurred in entering the competition including but not limited to internet access fees, any phone calls made,travel costs and accommodation, incidental costs, charges, fees, expenses and taxes.
