England beat Scotland with 3-1 victory
England took home the gold after a 3-1 victory at Glasgow's Celtic Park, despite tribal loyalties from supporters on either side inflamed by September's referendum result.
Rooney and Oxlade-Chamberlain both scored for England and Andrew Robertson kicked Scotland's lone goal into the back of the net. However, England and Scotland's first football match after September 18's referendum was never really about the score.
Both sets of fans tried to drown out each other's renditions of their respective national anthems, as Scotland tried to rattle the Auld Enemy on home soil. Despite passionate support in Glasgow - one of the cities which voted for independence - Scotland offered little resistance and England easily broke through their defences. There were also reports of anti-IRA chants, but Police Scotland say they have not been asked to investigate anything.
