Will Colin be announced the world's best teacher?
A British man who grew up on a Kilburn council estate is up for a $1 million prize for the teaching equivalent of the Novel Prize.
Maths teacher Colin Hegarty made the shortlist for the Global Teacher Prize and later on today will travel to Dubai where he will find out if he is officially the world's greatest teacher.
Colin overcame his council estate upbringing to win a first class honours degree in Maths from Oxford and become a teacher.
