Beef patties
Burgers needn't be bad for you when made with lean meat and served without the cheese and sugary condiments. Instead have these in a wholemeal bun with some fresh salad.
(Serves 4)
Ingredients:
400g lean (5% fat) minced beef (ideally organic, but if not, just make sure it’s lean)1 large red onion, finely chopped4 cloves of garlic, crushed1 small bunch of parsley, finely chopped1 egg, beaten1 tsp turmeric1 tsp ground cumin OR 1 tsp ground coriander OR ½ tsp crushed chilli OR leave it plain and just add a pinch of sea salt and a little black pepper
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together and divide into 4 burgers
Cook in the frying pan on a medium high heat for 4 minutes each side
Serve in a wholemeal bap with 2 slices of buffalo tomatoe and 2 or 3 pieces of lettuce
