Just six months after the controversial Smiler ride at Alton Towers reopened, the rollercoaster was stopped again yesterday when debris fell from a carriage. About 30 people were suspended above the ground for half an hour.

It comes just over a year after a crash on the same ride seriously injured five people.

Vicky Balch, who lost her leg in last year's crash, told us how she felt when she heard about the latest accident.
