About Nick Dixon
Nick Dixon is a news Correspondent for Good Morning Britain with a passion for digital and social media.
Nick started his broadcast journalism career in Glasgow reading the breakfast bulletins for STV News (then known as Scotland Today - the flagship programme for Scottish TV).
He joined GMTV as a Reporter in November 2005 and during his first week on the job reported live from the Paris riots on the Champs-Élysées and just weeks later was live from Times Square, New York on David Blaine's world record attempt at a one-week residency in a water-filled sphere... the variety of breakfast TV!
When Daybreak went on air in 2010, Nick was promoted to Correspondent and quickly started a secondment in New York as the programme's US Correspondent. He travelled extensively throughout the states working on major news and showbiz stories (death of Osama bin Laden, Joplin Tornado, Spiderman the musical opening night, film premieres etc). Nick returned to the UK in 2011 to work on many of Daybreak’s major campaigns and strands and travelled the country reporting on breaking news, showbiz and sports stories.
As a correspondent for Good Morning Britain Nick produces features and news stories for the programme and online, extending the reach of his stories across all platforms. Working with the digital team, he creates bespoke behind the scenes content for the Good Morning Britain website and social media channels.
