Dr Hilary Jones

Dr Hilary Jones qualified from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1976 and became a Principal in General Practice in 1982, during which time he worked in A&E, ICU, Surgery and Cancer treatment.

In 1978/9 he worked as a single-handed medical officer on the most isolated inhabited island in the world, Tristan de Cunha – an island so remote, it has no airstrip and the supply boat visited every four months!

On his return to England he worked as a full time GP. Dr Hilary first appeared on ITV in 1989 for TV-AM, then GMTV, and Daybreak.

Dr Hilary is really looking forward to working with the new team on Good Morning Britain and covering yet more exciting and topical medical subjects.
