Actor Colin Salmon leads Notting Hill Carnival tribute to Grenfell Tower victims

Colin Salmon and his wife Fiona Hawthorne have organised a special float in tribute to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. The float is decorated with images drawn by children from local schools, many of whom have been effected by the tragedy.

"Carnival is about unity and coming together and I think this year is going to be a very special one, because of Grenfell," said Fiona, "It’s more important than ever that we give that message of love, unity and community."

The couple, who are local to the area, also performed a moving tribute to those lost in the disaster, with an acoustic version of Bridge Over Troubled Water accompanied by their UFO Steel Band.
