Rooney warns younger England players about 'intense' Scotland trip
England captain Wayne Rooney revealed he has had conversations with inexperienced members of the Three Lions squad to warn them of what is likely to be a hostile atmosphere in Glasgow on Tuesday evening (watch Scotland v England live on ITV).
"I think it'll be a great test. I've played here in big nights in Champions League. You can see the atmosphere is really loud and it will be intense," he said.
"I've actually spoken to a few of the younger players, just to make sure they're ready for the start of the game because if you're not ready it can take you by surprise.
"I'm sure we'll be ready for the atmosphere and it will be a big test for us.
"It's a fantastic game to be part of and I'm excited for it. It'll be a good game and one we're all looking forward to."
