Laughing Lafferty gallops back into training
Northern Ireland had talisman Kyle Lafferty back horsing around at training in France on Friday morning following his injury scare.
The 28-year-old had given the entire nation a worry when he hobbled out of training on Tuesday with a groin problem which restricted him to a bike machine the following day.
However, having received positive news on a precautionary scan on Wednesday afternoon, Lafferty was able to go through drills with the team two days later, even mimicking a horse during a resistance-band exercise.
More encouragingly, Lafferty undertook a number of exercises and stretches which tested the groin injury and appeared to have no issues throughout.
Only David Healy has scored more goals for Northern Ireland than Lafferty and his seven goals in qualification helped fire them to a first major finals in 30 years.
All 23 players in Michael O'Neill's squad were present for the session ahead of their opening Group C game with Poland in Nice on Sunday.
