Kompany named in final 23-man Belgium squad despite groin injury
Defender Vincent Kompany has been named in Belgium's 23-man World Cup squad despite being a doubt because of a groin injury.
The 32-year-old Manchester City player was injured in Belgium's goalless draw with Portugal in Brussels on Saturday and was due to have a scan on the injury on Sunday.
Manager Roberto Martinez has kept Kompany in the squad after reducing it from the original 28 to the 23 who will make the trip to Russia.
