Euro 2016 highlights and match report: Poland 1-1 Portugal (3-5 on pens)
Portugal are the first team through to the Euro 2016 semi-finals after beating Poland in a penalty shootout.
The quarter-final in Marseille's Stade Velodrome ended 1-1 after 90 minutes and with no goals scored in extra time the match was settled 5-3 on penalties as Ricardo Quaresma struck the winning spot-kick.
Portugal's sweet finish sees them into the final four despite winning only one match in the tournament - the last 16 extra time defeat of Croatia - and they once again recovered from a poor start.
Robert Lewandowski ended his tournament goal drought to give Poland a second minute lead but Portugal prodigy Renato Sanches marked his first start of the tournament with the equaliser in the 33rd minute.
While both sides spurned opportunities to claim a second, the defences held out as the match headed past full time and extra time into the shootout.
A run of seven successful penalties ended when Jakub Błaszczykowski's spot kick was palmed away by Rui Patrício before Quaresma sent his side through.
