Casting news: Mark Jordon joins Emmerdale

Mark Jordon will be spending time on the opposite side of the law as he joins the Spencer family in the Village!

Former Heartbeat and The Royal actor, Mark Jordon, will be joining Emmerdale as Daz Spencer (which sure to wreak havoc for younger brother Dan).

When charming ex-marine Daz Spencer arrives in Emmerdale, his hapless brother Dan is understandably on edge. Dan's less than thrilled that Daz is back - and may have brought some trouble with him. Could the tension between the brothers be the result of Daz's wayward past or could older sibling Daz's popularity be what's eating away at Dan?

Speaking ahead of his appearance, Mark said: “ITV studios in Leeds has always felt like a second home and I'm really looking forward to being back there, this time with the cast and crew of Emmerdale.”

“We’re delighted to see Mark return to Yorkshire and are so pleased to add Emmerdale to his vast list of TV credits. He will be a great addition and we are excited to start filming with him ", Emmerdale Series Producer Kate Oates said.

Mark will begin filming his first scenes this month and will be on screen from early July.
