Interview: Sinead's Future
Sinead has been through so much lately and with her scan on the horizon, we asked Katie McGlynn all about Sinead's future...
Why does Sinead feel like the cancer could come back at any time?
I think once you’ve been diagnosed with cancer it never leaves you and Sinead says that’s how she feels to Beth. It’s always going to be in the back of Sinead’s mind, no matter how happy she is, no matter how far down the line she is because it can come back.
How hard is it for her to tell Daniel how she feels?
Sinead feels upset for admitting it because she feels like she should be feeling a sense of relief but she isn’t. She has accepted the fact that she has had cancer and it’s always going to be in the back of her head. She will never go back to how she was before, it’s changed her forever.
How is Daniel and Sinead’s relationship at the moment?
Sinead and Daniel keep trying to do things together but everything just keeps getting in the way. Sinead feels really upset and stressed because she has a new born baby and she is meant to be happy after receiving her test results but she is not. She has started her beard oil business and she just wants to crack on with that and feel normal again, whereas Daniel constantly wants to do things together. Daniel is acting as though everything is hunky-dory and it annoys her because she just wants to feel like a normal woman.
What is going through her head when he proposes for a second time?
She thinks it’s sweet and she is very touched. After everything that has happened to them as a couple it means a lot for her that Daniel says it all over again because it solidifies how much they love each other and she is overwhelmed with love.
Would you be friends with Sinead?
I would be friends with Sinead definitely, I think she is a very good friend and a nice person. I am very different her in some ways but similar to her in others but I would love to be friends with her.
