Claire King is coming to the cobbles
Corrie’s Nick Tilsley is in for a treat this Christmas when a sexy newcomer to the street sets her sights on him.
Barmaid Erica, played by Bad Girls and Emmerdale actress Claire King, arrives in Weatherfield in December to catch up with her mate Liz McDonald.
The pair met in Spain when Erika landed a job at Liz’s bar, so when she arrives back in England Erica seeks Liz out.
And she wastes no time in seducing unlucky in love businessman Nick, played by Ben Price, and putting a spring back in his step after a disastrous 12 months which saw him suffer a severe brain injury and split from wife Leanne.
Claire starts filming next month and will be on screen for a few weeks in December before Erica jets back off to Spain at the end of the year - leaving Nick wondering exactly what hit him!

“Erica is a woman who lives life to the full, Nick doesn’t stand a chance once she has set her sights on him, but he’s not complaining!
“We are delighted to have Claire on board to play Erica, she is a fabulous actress who will be a great addition to the cast.”
