Young guns strong in second practice
Jack Goff set a surprise fast lap time of 48.731 seconds to go second fastest in the second free practice session at Brands Hatch, when the championships young drivers took five of the top six spots.
However it was one of the oldest, Jason Plato who set the fastest time, just twelve thousandths of a second quicker than Goff.
Plato, who had already topped the timesheets in this morning's first session, lapped the 1.2 mile Indy circuit in 48.719 seconds. His team mate Sam Tordoff, in only his second full season of BTCC racing was fourth, behind last year's champion Andrew Jordan.
Aron Smith finished fifth fastest ahead of Ginetta GT Supercup champion Tom Ingram.
The session was briefly red flagged after Glynn Geddie's United Autosports Toyota went off into the gravel.
