Horne to make BTCC debut at Snetterton
Former Porsche Cup champion Barry Horne is to make his debut in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend.
Horne will be driving the Dextra Motorsport Ford Focus normally raced by Alex Martin.
Dunfermline-based Horne started his career in Formula Ford before moving into Caterham racing, where he won the British and European championships, then joined the Porsche Carrera Cup in its first season in Britain, 2003.
He went on to win the title that year, fending off competition from the likes of Richard Westbrook.
He's subsequently raced in the Porsche Supercup and at the Nürburgring 24 hours for Team Parker Racing, who run Dextra Racing in both the BTCC and Porsche Carrera Cup.
