BTCC team mates finish seconds apart in London Marathon
Dunlop MSA British Touring Car drivers Rob Collard and Sam Tordoff finished today's London Marathon just two seconds apart, after four-hour runs through the capital.
The JCT600 with GardX drivers had been running separately, but completed the 26 mile course with near-identical times.
Collard had started this morning's race slightly ahead of Tordoff, and remained there for more than three quarters of the race, before his younger team-mate passed him on the road.
Collard's final race time was 4 hours 8 minutes and 54 seconds, putting him 12,263rd overall, with four places and two seconds separating him from Tordoff.
The pair now have nearly two weeks to recover before the next round of the BTCC, at Thruxton on May 9th and 10th. Collard is currently seventh in the drivers' championship with 53 points, while Tordoff is 11th on 41 points.
