BTCC stars sign up for Goodwood
Former Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champions Matt Neal, Jason Plato, Andrew Jordan, Robb Gravett and Tim Harvey have all signed up to take part in the Gerry Marshall Trophy race as part of this month's 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting.
The race is open to any Group 1 saloon car raced between 1970 and 1982.
Plato and Jordan will both be racing Mini 1275GTs, similar to those which won the title with Richard Longman in 1978 and 1979, while Neal will be driving the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 which took pole position in the 1981 Spa 24 hour race.
The Triumph Dolomite Sprint was the winning car in the 1975 BTCC, at the hands of Andy Rouse, and two examples of that car will be driven by Tim Harvey and Robb Gravett, champions in 1992 and 1990 respectively.
Also competing are BTCC race winners Steve Soper, Rob Austin and Rob Huff, all in Ford Capris, and Patrick Watts in an RX-7.
