Finalist James Smith speaks about his emotional reaction to the results
Simon likened him to last night's guest artist Ed Sheeran and said of his performance, "you absolutely nailed it."
James Smith, 15 became the third Finalist last night when the public voted him the show's top act, an result that appeared to overwhelm the young singer.
Speaking on This Morning, James said: "I started crying for some reason. it was amazing I loved it. I am really appreciative of everyone that voted.
"My family are very proud."
James said he is wasting no time preparing for the Final.
"Even this morning I woke up and though now is the time I have to focus," he said.. "I've got a lot of big things coming up."
On last night's show David predicted a rush of fans making their way to James's dad's market stall this weekend for a selfie and James said it had already started..
Now he's heading for the Final, they'll be queuing around the block.
